Learning and Development Manager

Tasks and Responsibilities

 

  • Handling the learning and professional development of the organization (Development, IT, Legal Marketing, Finance, HR and other departments) and designing training strategies
  • Accounting for creating and executing short and long - term training plans
  • Cooperating with managers and interviewing employees at all levels to identify and assess hard skill and soft skill training and development needs
  • Holding soft-skill training sessions
  • Arranging 3rd party training sessions and overseeing the training sessions for individuals or groups
  • Assisting line managers to solve specific challenges, either in one-to-one sessions or in groups
  • Close collaboration with technical and product oriented managers on: setting up a process to identify potential and help employees to advance within skills and career 
  • Organizing effective introduction and orientation sessions
  • Individual coaching of line managers and employees in order to increase performance and efficiency.
  • Helping employees to develop problem solving skills
  • Acting as a trusted person for all employees of the company
  • Preparing training materials
  • Being involved in the creation and/or delivery of e-learning packages where relevant
  • Participate in establishment and execution of an effective performance management program
  • Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities
  • Working on the employee engagement
  • Keep all the above simple, transparent and enjoyable
  • Any other activities assigned by the direct superior and the management

Requirements

Work experience

  • Certified coach
  • 7+ years of experience in a similar role (training/coaching)
  • Strong knowledge and successful experience executing employee performance and career management
  • Experience in building a coaching & feedback system
  • Track record in designing and executing successful internal training programs
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, etc.)

Competencies and skills

  • Degree in Human Resources and/or Psychology preferred
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Confident and proactive with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Flexible, open-minded, approachable and enthusiastic
  • The ability to encourage and motivate people
  • Fluent in English, additional language is a plus
