Procurement Analyst

Job description

The Procurement Analyst is directly reporting to the Senior Strategic Procurement Manager. The purpose of the role is to support the Management in improving the maturity level of the organization by creating and maintaining the strategic procurement framework. Contributes to continuously improve and control the purchasing/sourcing related processes and procedures. Work on the improvement of processes and procedures, setting up controls, creating policies.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Contributes to develop and implement strategic procurement framework – organization-wide
  • Enforces business policies to meet defined targets and the management requests
  • Keeps contact with internal stakeholders and external business partners in Hungarian and English
  • Provides pro-active support in process development, identifies potential loopholes, recommends risk aversion measures and cost savings
  • Quality assurance – data driven continuous improvement of the processes
  • Prepares regular and ad-hoc reports, charts or analysis and presentation slides with professional content
  • Develops registry structure, keep records, collect and arrange information, document management
  • Provides administrative and professional support for the Senior Strategic Procurement Manager – monitoring the market, supplier selection, evaluation, executive summaries
  • Analyzes industry trends and market competitions to develop business improvement initiatives
  • Any other task delegated by the Senior Strategic Procurement Manager or the President of the Owner’s Supervisory Board
  • Defines functional training requirements and accordingly develop training materials
  • Arranges meetings and takes minutes, schedule tasks and tracks progress and due dates



  • 3+ year experience in strategic procurement (direct and indirect)
  • Degree in engineering, business, accounting or finance
  • Technical experience with computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets analysis

  • Broad insight and knowledge of procurement procedures and techniques
  • Experience with procurement conceptualization and data analysis
  • Hands-on experience in digital tendering procedures
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports

  • Ability to work on conflicting priorities, be proactive and self-motivated
  • Proficient in English and Hungarian language both written and orally
