We are looking for a Senior Manager of Tax, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, to become a key member of our accounting and finance team. This individual will be responsible for building a world-class tax function of our multi-national Jasmin Group.
Tasks & responsibilities:
Manage all tax matters of the Jasmin Group across multiple jurisdictions.
Provide proactive tax advice with respect to the Jasmin Group’s operations and advice on tax consequences of various transactions including assistance in corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and launch and structuring of new and existing business units.
Provide day-to-day tax advice for general regulations, monitoring and advising the business on upcoming regulatory changes.
Primary responsibility for compliance and advising in matters related to direct tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing and other local and foreign tax issues.
Oversight and management of the preparation of corporate tax returns, VAT returns, Sales tax returns, dividend WHT returns, review of tax provisions, and review and analysis of tax assessments. Management and oversight of deliverables for tax audits worldwide.
Work globally and cross-functionally with other departments.
Review documents and contracts from a tax perspective and design and implement corporate and intra-company arrangements as required.
Liaise with local tax authorities, external counsel and service providers.
Develop and enhance the Jasmin Group’s tax policies and procedures, including assisting with the implementation of IFRS.
Prepare and manage all communications with the Luxembourg tax authorities; other jurisdictions as necessary.
Preparation of FATCA / CRS filing obligations.
Preparation of reporting and other deliverables to management.
Complete required tax reporting and payments in a timely manner and update internal tax and accounting trackers to monitor progress.
Prepare tax working papers for various entities to facilitate tax reporting for external audit teams and tax administrations.
Participation in development of accounting processes and internal controls, documentation of policies, procedures, and workflows for assigned areas of responsibility.
Mentoring team members with regards to more complex accounting transactions.
Requirements & essential knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Law, Accounting, Economics or related disciplines – Master’s degree a plus
Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.) in current standing and/or law certification
8+ years in a similar role in multinational company (Big 4 experience or large law firm is an advantage)
Demonstrate expert knowledge of tax, progressing with more complex cases as the number of the entities and accounting standards increase
Multi-faceted knowledge on various tax areas, amongst others: Luxembourg Corporate Tax, International Tax, Transfer Pricing, VAT, Individual tax, and Business Tax Compliance, IFRS
Knowledge of U.S. Corporate Federal and States Taxation is an asset
Experience in preparing and oversight of transfer pricing documentation and deliverables
Proven attention to detail and good judgement showing logical decision-making skills
Self-starter and team player with a proactive attitude
Ability to prioritize and to work under pressure and time constraints
Fluent in English, any other languages are an asset
Management and project management skills
High quality written and verbal communication skills
Strong ability to communicate results to both finance and business managers in an easy and digestible manner
Highly analytical, detail oriented and proven ability to manage new ideas and creative solutions
